Born Pretty Store Holographic Starry Sky Glitter Nail Foil Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the holographic starry sky glitter nail foil from BornPrettyStore. This nail foil caught my eye because it looked different than any of the foils I have tried so far. Here is what it looks like:
It is a long strip of foil, rolled up and in this plastic container.

I kept looking at this foil, not sure exactly which direction I wanted to go with it. Not having much for ideas, I started out painting my nails with 4 different colors. I wanted to get an idea of how it looked. On my index finger, I used Sinful Colors SinfulShine Most Sinful. On my middle finger, I used Funky Fingers Gesso (my go-to white). On my ring finger, I used Sinful Colors Yellow Spotted. And on my pinkie, I used Sinful Colors GoGo Girl. Before I chose my colors, I did test a bit of the foil out on a fake nail with patches of a couple different colors, to see the basic pattern of the foil. As I chose my colors, I was trying to think of colors that I haven't seen in a holographic form. I topped all my nails off with Seche Vite. Once that was dry, I used Orly Bonder (I realized that after these few years I have been into nail art, I still have never invested in nail foil glue) and painted it over my top coat, one nail at a time. I waited until it was dry, but still had the slight stickiness to it. Then, I put the foil on my nail. I did test a few different top coats over this foil and it all dulls the holo, unfortunately. I never tried gel!!! How did I not think of that?!? Anyway, here is what the foil looks like over my test colors:
Oh my goodness! I absolutely love how it looks over white!!!!

Since I liked the foil over white the most, I peeled those off, and got ready for my design. I painted my nails with Funky Fingers Gesso, and topped it off with Seche Vite. Once that was dry, I followed the same steps as above, using the Orly Bonder. I got the foil on all my nails and I can't believe it! I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE!!!! What was I thinking? Or not thinking haha. Anyway, I am not a huge fan of white nails, so they needed art! I used Born Pretty Store plate BP-100 (you can find it here). I used Mundo de Unas stamping polish in Mexican Pink and Lavander and did a gradient stamp. I have only tried this one other time, and it was less than successful. Here is my final look:
These are so pretty! I love how they turned out! Here is a closer look:
These look so delicate and pretty. And my stamping gradient was a success!! Double bonus :D

Overall, this holographic starry sky foil is very pretty. I feel like it is very versatile; the options are almost endless with it! If you are like me and love anything holographic, you should definitely get this foil. It is VERY easy to use. Like I mentioned above, I have never invested in nail glue. The only tip I have with using Orly Bonder is to make sure it is fully dry or the foil will pull bits of your polish off your nail (don't ask how I know, haha). Otherwise, it was very easy. If you miss a spot with the foil, you can go back over it with the foil again. And the container has a ton in it. It doesn't take as much as you would think to have full coverage on your nails (unless they are super long!!), so you will get many different uses out of one container. You can find these decals on the BornPrettyStore website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Until next time,
