Born Pretty Store Chameleon Holographic Flakies Powder Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Chameleon Holographic Flakies Powder from BornPrettyStore. I love all things holographic, so naturally this powder jumped out at me. Let's take a look at it:

As with all their powders, this one comes with an eyeshadow brush for application

This powder looks pretty awesome. I can't wait to get it on my nails!

 It's so pretty!!

To start off my design, I painted all my nails with one coat of Ate Clavo black gel polish and cured them. Then, one nail at a time, I painted one more coat of black gel polish, cured it, and rubbed the powder into my nail. I sealed it in with a thin coat of Born Pretty Store No Wipe gel top coat (found here) and cured it, applied one more coat of powder, and finished the look off with one more coat of No Wipe top coat and cured it. Here is the final look:
This powder is a deep purple with some amazing holo-ness!!!
This is in direct sunlight.

Overall, I am in LOVE with this powder!! It is super holographic. Even under dimmer room lighting, the holo still pops out. If you are crazy about holo like I am, or even if you like it every now and then, I would highly recommend this powder!!! It seemed very easy to apply (some of them are a bit of work to get on your nails, but not this one). You can find this powder on the Born Pretty Store website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store Peacock Chameleon Holographic Gel Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing Peacock Chameleon Holographic Soak Off Gel Nail Polish from BornPrettyStore. I received 2 different colors of this polish. Let's take a look at the bottles first:

I used the blue polish first. For this design, I painted my nails with 2 coats of Arte Clavo Black gel polish, curing in between each coat. Next, I painted on a thin coat of the blue polish. When applying the polish, I noticed that some of the glitter in the polish was pretty chunky, so before I cured my polish, I tried to flatten out any of the bumps or glitters that weren't laying flat. I just used the brush from the polish bottle. I wiped all the polish off the brush, and ran the brush on my nails (in the same manner you would if you were applying polish). I cured this coat, and repeated the steps above for the next coat. I had full coverage in two thin coats. Here's how my nails look at this point:
 This polish is beautiful!

We got a break in the rain we've been having so I ran outside for another picture!
You can see the blue to purple shift in this picture, but not much of the holo since we didn't have much sun.

I wore this polish for a couple days, mostly to test the wear. It wore great! No chipping or lifting anywhere! It has 3 colors in the shift: Blue to purple to pink. As I kept looking at my nails, I thought this polish was perfect for galaxy nails. Only problem was I had never attempted gel galaxy nails. I started out by removing my polish, and putting black gel polish on all my nails. Using a small piece of a makeup sponge and some tweezers, I sponged on some light pink, light mint green, and the blue chameleon glitter. Once I was happy with my design, I cured them and topped them with a coat of No Wipe top coat (I use Born Pretty Store's No Wipe top coat, found here). Next, I used a small nail art brush and painted on a couple stars as well as some little white dots for tiny stars, and sealed that in with one more thin coat of No Wipe top coat. Here is my final look:
The holo wasn't showing up much on my camera, but it was definitely there in person!

We still don't have much sun, but you can see the blue to purple shift in these two pictures.

For the pink color, I started out the same way I did as with the blue, two coats of Arte Clavo Black gel polish. The pink polish was also a little chunky if I applied it too thick, so I used the same process as I did with the blue. I got full coverage with two thin coats of this one as well. Here is how they look:

The shift in this polish seems a bit stronger than in the blue polish. It could be because the colors aren't as close to each other as in the blue polish. This one shifts from pink to gold to green.

I love that you can see all 3 colors of the shift in this picture!

I decided to do a little stamping over this polish since it feels like I haven't stamped for a while. I chose an older plate this time, but it is still one of my favorite images! I used Born Pretty plate BP-17. It is such an old plate, I couldn't even find it on the Born Pretty website. I didn't want to do too much stamping because I absolutely love this polish and I didn't want to cover much of it up. I decided to only stamp my ring finger and my thumb. I used Mundo de Unas stamping polish in white, and sealed in my design with one more thin coat of No Wipe top coat. Here is my final look:

Overall, I absolutely LOVE these polishes! I can't stop looking at my nails!! The only thing that I noticed with them was the chunkiness of the glitter. But if you slow down a bit, and do thin coats, it is not too bad and you can work with it and minimize any bumps you might have. After trying these two, I will for sure order more of the colors. This polish comes in 8 different colors so there is sure to be a color you will like! You can find them on the Born Pretty Store site, here. I showed you #2 and #8. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store Chameleon Pearl Stamping Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the new chameleon pearl stamping polish from BornPrettyStore. This stamping polish caught my eye because it is different than any other stamping polish I have seen. It reminding me a little bit of the pigment stamping, but much easier! Let's take a look at the bottle:

You can see a little bit of a shift in the bottle, but the green is the dominant color coming through so far. I can't wait to see how this looks stamped!

For my first design, I painted my nails with Color Club Where's the Soiree? Then, I sponged OPI Alpine Snow over the tips. I sealed this in with one coat of Seche Vite. I was so excited to start stamping, I forgot to get a picture before I stamped. I used plate BPL-024 and stamped all my nails with the daisy image in the bottom, right corner. I finished this design off with one more coat of Seche Vite. Here is the final look:

I really liked the way it looked over the black, but the white tip idea looked better in my head. It didn't turn out how I pictured it would. It does give you an idea of what it looks like over both black and white. Since I wasn't happy with it, I decided to start over.

Since I loved the way this stamping polish looked over black, I decided to paint all my nails with Color Club Where's the Soiree? again, and then one coat of Seche Vite. Once again, I used plate BPL-024. I chose another image that has a lot of stamped area so I could get the full chameleon effect. I chose the third image in the top row from the left. Once I stamped all my nails, I sealed in my design with one more coat of Seche Vite. Here is the final look:

I absolutely LOVE this!!! You can see the green to purple shift and it is amazing!!!

Overall, this stamping polish is over the top! There is one other color I definitely need to add to my collection. When I stamp with regular nail polish, I find I have a hard time because it dries too quickly. With this polish, I did not have any issues. It did not seem to dry too fast for me to pick it up and stamp it. It was very easy to work with. I also tested it over a fake nail to see if it would apply smooth and evenly as a nail polish. It worked great! (I was so excited to stamp with it that I forgot to make an accent nail painted with the stamping polish). If you are into nail stamping, and like the chameleon look, or even something that just stands out, you should consider this polish. It comes in 5 different colors (I chose BPU06 The Milky Way). You can find this stamping polish on the BornPrettyStore website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store Chameleon & Silver Mirror Gradient Powder Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Chameleon & Silver Mirror Gradient Powder from BornPrettyStore. I have seen a couple videos on YouTube of people doing powder gradients, but I have never tried one. I am excited to see how it goes. Let's take a look at the powders first:

When I first saw the darker powder (above), I wasn't sure how things would turn out, but when the powder is directly under the light, it isn't as dark as it first seemed. It has a very prominent green to purple shift in the container.

To start this look off, I painted all my nails with Color Club Where's the Soiree (black) and topped them with Seche Vite. After about 30 minutes, one nail at a time, I painted on a thin coat of BornPrettyStore no-wipe top coat (found here) and cured it. I used the eyeshadow applicator and using one side of it, I started out with the darker green to purple powder. It only takes a tiny bit of powder, and I rubbed it into my nails, only going about half to 2/3 of the way to the tip of my nail. On the rest of my nail, I used the other side of the applicator and rubbed the silver into the tip of my nail, trying to blend it together. I added a coat of top coat, cured it, and did one more coat of the two powders, then sealed it in with one thin coat of top coat and cured it. I repeated the process on the rest of my nails. Here is my final look:
They are so shiny and pretty! I love this way more than I thought I would when I first started!

I actually liked this so much, I decided I didn't want to cover any of it up with nail art. It was absolutely stunning!

Overall, this was so much easier than I originally thought it was going to be. It was a bit overwhelming before I started, but I decided the only way to do it was to just jump right in and start. If I messed up, I could start again and know what I did wrong. But it was sooooo easy! I have had so many compliments on my nails (I wore this powder for a couple days). The chameleon shift is very strong, and I had no issues at all getting the silver to have a shiny mirror-like finish. this powder set is a must-have for anyone. And everyone!!! One thing I noticed was that you don't get much of the silver powder, but it takes so little powder to get full coverage and a mirror finish, it will still last for several manicures. You can find this powder on the BornPrettyStore website here (I showed you color #3, there are 8 colors total). They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store Holographic Chameleon Unicorn Mermaid Nail Powder Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Holographic Chameleon Unicorn Mermaid Nail Powder from BornPrettyStore. This pigment looks so pretty on the website AND in person. Take a look:

It looks so pretty and sparkly. I can't wait to see what it can do!

To start off, I painted my index and pinky fingers with Essie Licorice, and my two middle fingers with OPI Alpine Snow. I topped them all off with a coat of Seche Vite. After about 30 minutes, I knew everything was nice and dry and it was time for the next step. One finger at a time, I put on one coat of BornPrettyStore's no-wipe top coat (found here) and cured it. Then I used the eyeshadow applicator that came with the powder and applied a small amount of powder to my nail, rubbing it in until I was happy with my coverage. I did two coats of no-wipe top coat, followed by powder, and sealed it in with one more thin coat of top coat. Here is what the powder looks like over black and white:

I LOVE how the powder looks over white!

As with all the mermaid and unicorn powders I have, I love to see what they do over different colors. For this powder, I chose to use a pretty medium blue. I used three thin coats of Sinful Colors Why Not. I painted my ring finger with two coats of Essie Licorice. I have something special planned for this finger :). I topped them all off with one coat of Seche Vite. Here is how they look at this point:
After 30 minutes, i repeated the process above for all my nails except my ring finger. For that finger, I rubbed a thin coat of the powder over my clear jelly stamper head. Once the head was evenly covered with powder, I used my BornPrettyStore stamping polish in blue (it was a close match to Why Not), and stamping plate Love & Marriage 1 from UberChic Beauty. I painted my stamping polish on the image I chose, scraped the excess away, and using the stamper with the powder rubbed on the head, I picked up the image and stamped it on my ring finger. I waited a minute or two for the image to dry on my nail, I cleaned up the cuticle area, and then i used a dry Q-Tip to try to remove the powder that transferred onto the black where I didn't want it. Once cleaned up, I sealed my design in with one coat of no-wipe top coat. Here is my final look:

I love this! It is so pretty!

Overall, I am completely in love with this powder! You can do so much with it! It was easy to work with, and is absolutely beautiful. If you like holo, or if you like unicorn or mermaid powders (or if you have never tried them), this powder is highly recommended!! You can find this powder on the BornPrettyStore website here (I showed you color #1, there are 6 colors total). They also have tons of other great nail art supplies.
