Born Pretty Store Dual-ended Gradient Stamper Sponge Head Pen Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Dual-ended Gradient Stamper Sponge Head Pen from BornPrettyStore. I saw the pen stampers not too long ago and thought they looked very useful. This one looks even better with the sponge on the other end. Here is what it looks like:

 It comes in a plastic tube to store it in. 

 I love the little rhinestones inside the handle!

 The stamper head is glittery and SUPER squishy! I love the Born Pretty etching on it.

 And this sponge looks like the perfect sponge for gradients. It is much softer than the traditional makeup wedge sponges I use, and looks less porous.

I could not wait to try out that little stamper head. For my first design, I painted two coats of Sinful Colors Beet Goes On from the Vanessa Hudgens Festival collection on my nails, and topped it with a coat of Seche Vite. Here is what my nails look like so far:

Once that was dry, it was time to use the stamper! I chose an image from plate Harunouta-L045 (you can see my review on that plate here). I tried to pick the image up without doing anything to the stamper head first, but it wasn't picking up the finer lines. I wiped the stamper head down with a q-tip and a little bit of acetone, let it dry, and tried again. It looked great. I stamped my image using Mundo de Unas Pink. I sealed in my image with one thin coat of Rush High Speed Top Coat. Here is my final look:

For my next design, I painted two coats of OPI Alpine Snow on my nails. Next I sponged on OPI Mermaid's Tears and Sinful Colors Pink Smart randomly. Once I was happy with the opacity, I put a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on for a little bit of sparkle. Then sealed it all in with Seche Vite. Here is my final look:

I really like the way this one turned out!

The sponge took a few minutes to get used to. Working with a round sponge was a lot different than the flat makeup sponges I am used to. But once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed using this sponge.

Overall, the stamper and sponge are both awesome. I had no issues or complaints with either one. You can also get replacement sponge heads from Born Pretty Store here. I love the size of the stamper. I also really like how soft and squishy the stamper head is. I have a hard time using the firm stamper heads so if you are like me, you will love this one. The gradient sponge is very soft, easy to use, and is replaceable for a very affordable price! If you like stamping, gradients, or both, this is a great product for you. I love how it looks. Born Pretty Store Colorful Nail Strip Mirror Flakies Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Colorful Nail Strip Mirror Flakies from BornPrettyStore. These flakies caught my eye because they are very unique and looked like a lot of fun to work with. I chose 3 different colors: gold, purple and pink. Let's take a look at them:

All of the colors come in the same pots as the other pigments and glitters. They also each come with an eyeshadow style applicator. 

 

 

These containers seem super full. When I peeled off the seal, a lot of the strips stuck to the top. I opened each one of these over a piece of paper to contain the stray strips :) 

Here is a macro shot of each color. With the light shining on the gold, my camera picked it up as looking silver, but it definitely does NOT have any silver in it

For each color, I painted my nails with two thin coats of Arte Clavo black gel polish (curing in between each coat). This polish feels a lot like a no-wipe top coat does after curing, so I thought I would see what would happen if I tried to put the flakies directly onto the black polish (normally I would add a coat of no-wipe top coat after my color). It worked great! The easiest way I found to pull single strands out of the pot was to use my tweezers and pull a small clump out onto my paper, then gently pull them apart. They wanted to cling to just about everything but with a bit of patience (and no fan blowing on your work area), I really enjoyed using these. For my pinky, middle, and index fingers, I placed single strands randomly on my nails. For my ring finger, I decided to burnish it into my nails as you would with a pigment or powder, for the glossy mirror look. It took 2 layers of burnishing with a thin coat of no-wipe top coat in between. Once I was happy with my look, I sealed it in with one thin coat of my favorite no-wipe top coat from Born Pretty (you can find that here).

I love how elegant gold looks on the black base!

Now, here is the purple:

 

 

The purple gives the black a nice pop of color!

And finally, here is the pink:

 

 

I love the pink so much! It is so bright and fun!!

Overall, I really enjoyed these flakies. They were a lot of fun to work with and there are so many different things you could do with them. I didn't have any problems with application or wear. I wore the pink flakies for a couple days and when I took my polish off, it still looked as good as when I put it on. If you enjoy fun nail art decorations, I would highly recommend these! It doesn't take much product for a manicure and the container is practically overflowing when you open it! You could do countless different designs with each little pot. Born Pretty Store Peacock Chameleon Holographic Gel Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing Peacock Chameleon Holographic Soak Off Gel Nail Polish from BornPrettyStore. I received 2 different colors of this polish. Let's take a look at the bottles first:

 

 

I used the blue polish first. For this design, I painted my nails with 2 coats of Arte Clavo Black gel polish, curing in between each coat. Next, I painted on a thin coat of the blue polish. When applying the polish, I noticed that some of the glitter in the polish was pretty chunky, so before I cured my polish, I tried to flatten out any of the bumps or glitters that weren't laying flat. I just used the brush from the polish bottle. I wiped all the polish off the brush, and ran the brush on my nails (in the same manner you would if you were applying polish). I cured this coat, and repeated the steps above for the next coat. I had full coverage in two thin coats. Here's how my nails look at this point:

 This polish is beautiful!

We got a break in the rain we've been having so I ran outside for another picture!

You can see the blue to purple shift in this picture, but not much of the holo since we didn't have much sun.

I wore this polish for a couple days, mostly to test the wear. It wore great! No chipping or lifting anywhere! It has 3 colors in the shift: Blue to purple to pink. As I kept looking at my nails, I thought this polish was perfect for galaxy nails. Only problem was I had never attempted gel galaxy nails. I started out by removing my polish, and putting black gel polish on all my nails. Using a small piece of a makeup sponge and some tweezers, I sponged on some light pink, light mint green, and the blue chameleon glitter. Once I was happy with my design, I cured them and topped them with a coat of No Wipe top coat (I use Born Pretty Store's No Wipe top coat, found here). Next, I used a small nail art brush and painted on a couple stars as well as some little white dots for tiny stars, and sealed that in with one more thin coat of No Wipe top coat. Here is my final look:

The holo wasn't showing up much on my camera, but it was definitely there in person!

 

We still don't have much sun, but you can see the blue to purple shift in these two pictures.

For the pink color, I started out the same way I did as with the blue, two coats of Arte Clavo Black gel polish. The pink polish was also a little chunky if I applied it too thick, so I used the same process as I did with the blue. I got full coverage with two thin coats of this one as well. Here is how they look:

 

 

The shift in this polish seems a bit stronger than in the blue polish. It could be because the colors aren't as close to each other as in the blue polish. This one shifts from pink to gold to green.

I love that you can see all 3 colors of the shift in this picture!

I decided to do a little stamping over this polish since it feels like I haven't stamped for a while. I chose an older plate this time, but it is still one of my favorite images! I used Born Pretty plate BP-17. It is such an old plate, I couldn't even find it on the Born Pretty website. I didn't want to do too much stamping because I absolutely love this polish and I didn't want to cover much of it up. I decided to only stamp my ring finger and my thumb. I used Mundo de Unas stamping polish in white, and sealed in my design with one more thin coat of No Wipe top coat. Here is my final look:

 

Overall, I absolutely LOVE these polishes! I can't stop looking at my nails!! The only thing that I noticed with them was the chunkiness of the glitter. But if you slow down a bit, and do thin coats, it is not too bad and you can work with it and minimize any bumps you might have. After trying these two, I will for sure order more of the colors. Born Pretty Store Magical Magnet Board for UV Cat Eye Gel Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Magical Magnet Board for UV Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish from BornPrettyStore. I have a few different magnets, but recently I have been wanting something more than the plain designs you always see. I was excited when I saw these magnets because they are designs you don't see every day. The one I chose looks a lot like a big asterisk or star. Let's first take a look at the magnet:

 

To start off my look, I painted on two coats of Arte Clavo Black gel polish, curing in between each coat. Then, doing one nail at a time (mostly so I didn't accidentally touch the finished nail before I cured it), I painted on one coat of Born Pretty Store's Cat Eye Magnetic gel polish in color BP-01 (you can see my review on that polish here), and held the magnet as straight as I could and as close as I could without touching the polish for 10-15 seconds. Once I was happy with the way my design looked, I cured my gel and applied one coat of Born Pretty's No Wipe top coat (my favorite!) You can find that product here. The base coat in that link is also the base coat I use with my gel polish.

Overall, this magnet was great. It was very easy to use, and it seemed to work pretty well. The only difficulty I had was holding it in one place without moving it at all. Of course, that is not the magnet's fault! I have nothing negative to say about the magnet. If you are looking for some magnets in different designs, definitely check these out.
