Born Pretty Store 2 Flower Pattern Water Decals Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the 2 flower pattern water decals from BornPrettyStore. These decals caught my eye because they are black and white. They leave you with so many options! Let's take a look at these decals.
With so many ideas in mind, I didn't know where to start first!

For my first design, I painted Wet n Wild Clear Nail Protector (clear coat) on a sheet protector in squares and let it dry. Next, I cut out sections of the top decal and placed it on the squares of polish on the sheet protector to make my own decals. I smoothed the water decal out with a dry Q-Tip and hit it with the blow dryer for bout 30 seconds. After that, I filled in the flowers with acrylic paint. While those were drying, I painted my nails with one coat of Funky Fingers Dark Knight (my go-to black polish), and topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite. Then, I trimmed the decals to be closer to the size of my nails and placed the decals on my nails, starting by the cuticles. I cleaned the edges up with my ELF concealer brush. Once I was happy with the way they looked, I finished this look off with another coat of Seche Vite. Here is how this one turned out:

I am so happy with the way these turned out!

For my second design, I painted two coats of Funky Fingers Gesso (my go-to white polish) and topped that off with one coat of Seche Vite. Once that was dry, I used Gesso, and Sinful Colors Pink Smart, Baby Blues, Bright Lucite, and Unicorn and did a Saran Wrap design. When I was happy with the way the colors looked, I smoothed it out with another coat of Seche Vite. (I love the way it looked. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of it!!!) As soon as the top coat was completely dry, I went through the steps I used in this post to apply my water decals. I finished them off with one last coat of Seche Vite. Here is the final look:
These look absolutely beautiful. The colors were a bit brighter in person
This would make a great Easter or spring time manicure!!

Overall, I like these decals so much. You can fill them in with so many different color combinations, or put them over any light or medium color or combination of polishes. They are so versatile. They are so easy to use, even with long or curved nails. I would order these again in a heartbeat! You can find these decals on the BornPrettyStore website, here. Born Pretty Store Butterfly and Flower Water Decals Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the butterfly and flower water decals from BornPrettyStore. I have never used full nail water decals before, so I thought I would give them a try. Let's take a look at these decals.

For my first design, I used the black and white decals with pink flowers. To start off, I painted my index and pinky fingers with Sinful Colors Retro Rosie. It is a pretty pink with a holographic shimmer in it. For my middle and ring fingers, I used Funky Fingers Gesso. It is my go-to white. I topped this off with one coat of Seche Vite. Next, I cut out two sections of the pink flower decals. I peeled off the top protective film (don't forget to do this! If you don't peel it off, your decal will not lay flat on your nail), and dropped it in a small cup of water. I let it soak for about 30 seconds or so, pulled it out with my tweezers, and gently used my fingers to slide the decal off the backing. I placed it on my nail, wrapping it around the cuticle area first. I slowly worked my way towards the end of my nail, pulling the decal with my thumb and index finger on my other hand, around my nail. The tip was the hardest because I have curved nails. With some patience, you can get it pretty close. Then I gave it about 30 seconds of heat from my blow dryer on low heat. That sets the decal. Now, I took my clean up brush (I use an ELF concealer brush) and cleaned up my cuticle area with some pure acetone. I worked my way around each side of my nail. For my free edge, I dipped a Q-Tip in some non-acetone polish remover, and wrapped the edges and tip around the free edge of my naiil. Once I am happy with the way the decal is laying, I sealed it in with one coat of Seche Vite. Here is how the first design looks:

I really like how this one turned out

For my second design, I painted all my nails except my ring finger with China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald. On my ring finger, I used Ciate Golden Sands. I topped this off with one coat of Seche Vite. Once my top coat was completely dry, I followed the same steps above, with the butterfly image. I wrapped the butterfly image around my ring finger, and finished it off with another coat of Seche Vite. Here is the second design:

I like this one a lot more than I thought I would. The green matches the butterfly's wings very close

Overall, I like these decals a lot. Some of my nails have a pretty significant curve to them, and I didn't have any trouble getting these decals to lay down on my nails. I would not hesitate to order these again. You can find these decals on the BornPrettyStore website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store Christmas Silicone Stamper and Scraper Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Starry Sky Christmas silicone stamper and scraper set from BornPrettyStore. I love stampers! You can never have enough of them. Let's take a look at this one:

I love the cute little box

This has to be the cutest stamper holder I have ever seen!

This stamper comes with 2 scrapers. They are smaller than the normal scrapers from Born Pretty Store. Here is a comparison.

On top is the scraper from this set, on bottom is the regular scraper, found here

I love the smaller scraper. It is the perfect size scraper for the smaller images. The first thing I noticed about the stamper was the glitter in the stamper head. I love it. The one I got is blue. They come in 5 different colors. The next thing I noticed is how soft and squishy this stamper head is. WOW! It is also very sticky. The first thing I did was try stamping without priming it. The results were just ok, but the image was pretty patchy. I wiped the stamper head with rubbing alcohol and a clean cotton ball, then cleaned it off wth my lint roller. It picked up a bit better, but still patchy. I ended up wiping it down with rubbing alcohol a few more times, testing it in between each wipe. I had it picking up regular nail polish very well, but was still struggling with picking up stamping polish. For some reason, it didn't want to pick up Mundo de Unas stamping polish. I got it to pick up Born Pretty Store stamping polish. You can see my review on that polish here

Here are the results from my test stamps:

As you can see, it is picking up the images much better than before I wiped it down with rubbing alcohol. This could easily become my new favorite stamper.

Overall, this is a great stamper. I really like it! It is an XL stamper so it is big enough to pick up images for most sizes of nails and it is super soft. It would work great for curved nails. You can find this stamper on the BornPrettyStore website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BPL-055 Review

In this post, I will be reviewing stamping plate BP-42 from BornPrettyStore. I really like stamping plates that are text images. The problem I always seem to run into is I can't always pick up the fine lines on some of the images. First, let's take a look at the plate.

It came with this sleeve to store the plate in

Before you use the plate, you need to peel off the blue film

After I peeled off the blue film, I cleaned the plate with a cotton ball and some acetone. Then I stamped each image on a piece of paper to see how they stamped.

All of the images stamped great. The only issue I had was user error :)  I have a hard time stamping with regular nail polish. I have been using stamping polish so long, I think I am spoiled.

There were several images I absolutely love. I didn't want to overwhelm the post with too many pictures, so I chose 2 images to use.

For the first look, I started out with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Go Go Boots. I sponged Sinful Colors Night Owl on my ring finger. I topped this off with one coat of Seche Vite (two coats on the ring finger to help smooth out the glitter).

Here is a macro shot of the accent nail. The sparkly glitters always seem to throw my camera off

Next, I stamped the image "Let Your Soul Shine" over the accent nail using Mundo de Unas stamping polish in white. I decided to keep this one simple so the glitter and stamp would stand out. After stamping, I added one more coat of Seche Vite to seal in my design. Here is the final look:

As you can see, it picked up all the fine line without any issues at all

For my other design, I painted my index finger with one coat of Sinful Colors Jolt, then sponged on a few layers of Sinful Colors Ice Dream. On the other fingers, I painted one coat of Sinful Colors Bright Lucite. Then I did a gradient using Bright Lucite and Jolt. I sponged that on until I had full coverage and was satisfied with my gradient. I was so excited about this design, I forgot to get pictures before stamping. For the stamping, I used Konad plate m79 for the clouds, and Born Pretty Store plate BP-58 for my middle finger. On my ring finger, I used the "Fly" image with the birds, and on my pinky, I used those same birds and just stamped them a few times. I used Mundo de Unas stamping polish for the black and the white. I finished this off with one coat of Seche Vite.
I love how this one turned out. I will definitely wear this one again!

Overall, I love this plate. It stamps great, and has a nice variety of images so you can use it all year round. I will use this one over and over! If you like text images, you need this plate!!  You can find this stamping plate on the Born Pretty Store website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies.
