Born Pretty Store Holographic Chameleon Nail Flakies Pigment Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Holographic Chameleon Nail Flakies pigment from BornPrettyStore. These flakies are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen! I can't wait for you to see these!!!! Let's get right to it! I got 2 of the 12 colors (and have already placed another order). Here are the two colors I got:
 This is color #1

This is color #10

For both colors, I started off by painting my nails with 2 coats of Color Club Where's the Soiree, and topped them with Seche Vite. Once that was completely dry, I painted on one coat of my new favorite No Wipe Gel Topcoat. I got this topcoat as part of a base coat/top coat duo. It is also from Born Pretty Store and can be found here. If you are looking for a good gel base coat and top coat, definitely check this set out! I love it! It is a great price for some amazing base and top coat. Anyway, after I cured the top coat, I used a silicone tool like this one, and picked up a small amount of flakies and rubbed it into the top coat. Using my silicone tool, I noticed I got more of the chameleon look as opposed to the holo look. Here is how they look so far:

I wanted more of the holo look so I decided to add one more coat of No Wipe top coat and cured it. This time, I used the eyeshadow applicator that came with the flakies to see if I could pick up more holo. It worked great! This was the look I wanted. Here is the final look:

These flakies are a blueish green and shift to a purple with a strong holo

For the next color, I used the same process as above, except I didn't use the silicone tool. I only used the eyeshadow applicator because I couldn't wait to see the holo! This one seemed like the holo was a bit stronger than the last color. Here is the final look:

This color is a dark pink that shifts to a gold color.

We got a slight break in the clouds so I was able to get a picture of this one in partial sun
Overall, I am absolutely in LOVE with these flakies. Like I said above, I have already placed an order for one more color! I have nothing bad to say about these at all. They are stunning!!! If you love chameleon, chrome, or holo, you HAVE to have these in your life!!! Go order them, NOW! :) You can find these flakies on the BornPrettyStore website here (I showed you colors #1 and #10). They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store UR SUGAR Holo Nail Vinyl Stickers Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the UR SUGAR Holo Nail Vinyl stickers from BornPrettyStore. This set I got came with 5 sheets of vinyls. Let's take a look at the vinyls first:

They are super holo and shiny!

For my first design, I painted all my nails with one coat of white. Then I used Sinful Colors Pink Smart. I used 3 thin coats to make this polish look even and opaque. I topped that with Seche Vite. Next, I put on the nail vinyls. Once I had the vinyls on, I painted my nails black.
I peeled the vinyl off my pinky and sealed it in with one coat of Seche Vite. Then decided I should take a picture before I peeled them all off. The vinyls were a tad too short for my nails, so I carefully continued the line to my cuticle as evenly as I could.

Once I peeled all the vinyls off, I sealed the rest of the nails with Seche Vite. Here is how they look:
These vinyls were pretty easy to peel off, they didn't leave any sticky residue, and the lines seemed to be pretty crisp

For my next design, I painted all my nails with 3 thin coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Cinna-snap. It is a deep red, perfect for fall. I then used one coat of Seche Vite. Here is how they look so far:

Once that was completely dry, I painted my nails with a matte gel top coat from Born Pretty Store (I never did a review on this top coat, but WOW! It is my new go-to matte top coat. My nails looked so smooth, soft, and almost looked like velvet. Even my husband commented on how matte and amazing they looked). You can find that matte top coat on Born Pretty's website here (5mL)and here (10mL). Here is how my nails look now:

Nothing says fall like a deep red matte :)

I have always wanted to try doing a design with matte and glossy top coats. I thought these vinyls were the perfect opportunity to try it. I placed the vinyl in the center of my nail, painted clear polish over it, and peeled the vinyl off. I like the way it looks, but I think I need to use a different clear polish or top coat. I think the one I used was a bit too thin. Here is my final look:

Overall, I really like these vinyls. They are pretty thin. I struggled at first getting them off the backing, but with a little patience and some pointy tweezers, they came right off. The only other issue I had was some of my nails have a decent curve to them. It took me a couple tries to get the vinyl to lay down flat enough that the polish wouldn't run under it. But again, with a little bit of patience, it wasn't a huge issue at all. I would defintely buy these in more designs (they have a bunch!) Some of the designs were pretty unique, which i really liked about them. The set I got included 5 different sheets. You can find this set on the BornPrettyStore website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store Transparent Chameleon Sequins Iridescent Flakies Gel Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Transparent Chameleon Sequins Iridescent Flakies gel polish from BornPrettyStore. This gel polish looks beautiful, and is different than the other gel polishes I have tried before since you have to apply it with your own nail art brush. Let's take a look at the container:

These flakies look so pretty! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. First, I painted all my nails with one coat of white. Then I used Sinful Colors Pink Smart. I used 3 thin coats to make this polish look even and opaque. I topped that with Seche Vite. Next, I used some nail vinyls from Born Pretty Store. These ones are UR Sugar Holo nail vinyls (you can see my review on those here). Once I had the vinyls on, I painted my nails with two thin coats of Color Club Where's the Soiree. Then one more thin coat of Seche Vite. Here is how they look so far:

Finally, I painted one a thin coat of the gel polish and cured them. I sealed the entire design in with a thin coat of No Wipe top coat. Here is the final look:

I also want to show you what they look like over all black nails. I painted my nails with Color Club Where's the Soiree and then one coat of Seche Vite. Once it was completely dry throghout, I put on one coat of these flakies and cured it, then finished it off with my No Wipe top coat. Here is how they look:
They are so colorful and pretty!!!

Overall, I really like this gel. It was much easier to apply than I thought it would be. You don't need a special brush. You could use a nail art brush, a clean brush from a nail polish that you've used up (clean it with acetone really good first!), or even a paint brush if you had to! It goes on smooth, cures to a very hard, finish, and looks so pretty! If you like flakies, and enjoy using gel polish, definitely check this out. You can find this gel polish on the BornPrettyStore website here. It comes in 8 different colors (the one I showed you is #6). They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-188 Review

In this post, I will be reviewing stamping plate BP-188 from BornPrettyStore. I really like the fireworks images. Let's take a look at the plate:
This plate has such universal images, you could use them for so many different occasions!

Here is how they stamped on paper:

I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do with this one. I decided to go with a New Year's theme with fireworks. To start off, I painted my nails black using Color Club Where's the Soiree, and topped them off with one coat of Seche Vite. Once dry, I stamped them using Mundo de Unas white stamping polish. After I stamped the images on my nails in white, I used some jelly polishes to add some color to the stamps. Then, I sealed them in with one more coat of Seche Vite. Here is the final look:

This was the first time I had tried the lead-lighting technique, and I really enjoyed creating these.

I also wanted to do one more design to use another image. For this one, I painted my nails black again, using the same Color Club polish as above, and topped it with one coat of Seche Vite. Then, I stamped them using Mundo de Unas in gold, and used the image on the top of the plate. Here is how they turned out:
I really like this one. It is simple, but the gold really makes it stand out.

I decided to add some gold holographic glitter to it. Here is how they looked after the glitter:
I think the gold glitter really tied everything together! I love it!!

Overall, this plate stamped excellent. I didn't have any issues picking up any of the images. Being so versatile, this is a great plate to add to your collection! You can find it on the Born Pretty Store website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-X50 Review

In this post, I will be reviewing stamping plate BP-X50 from BornPrettyStore. I love cats! As soon as I saw this plate, I fell in love with it! Let's take a look at the plate:

Look at all those cute kitty faces!!

Here are my test stamps on paper:

I have several different ideas running through my head with this one. I decided to try something that I wasn't sure would work. The first thing I did was paint one coat of OPI Alpine Snow on all my nails. Then, I decided I was going to do a saran wrap smoosh design with 3 colors: OPI Alpine Snow, Suzi Takes the Wheel, and Sinful Colors Nirvana. My inspiration was one of my cat's chest. Here is a picture of my inspiration:
He is white, grey, and brown with black stripes

After I smooshed the 3 colors on my nails, I topped them with one coat of Seche Vite. Here is how they look at this point:

Next, I stamped using Mundo de Unas black stamping polish, and I used the design on the top right corner. I stamped my ring finger with the full design, then I stamped the rest of my fingers with some of the stripes out of the cat's face. I sealed my design in with one more coat of Seche Vite. Here is the final look:
I really like the way these turned out!!! Next time, I think I will fill the cat's eye in with some green sparkly polish.

Overall, I absolutely love this plate. It stamps beautifully! One thing I noticed is scraping works better with the thin, flexible Born Pretty scrapers, as opposed to a credit card or store gift card since some of the images have larger areas of stamping polish to pick up. I can't wait to use this plate again. If you love cats, or animals in general, you need to get this plate!! You can find it on the Born Pretty Store website, here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.
