Born Pretty Store Candy Color Shell UV Gel Soak Off Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the Candy Colors Shell UV Gel Soak Off Polish from BornPrettyStore.  Here is a picture of the bottle I got:

About a month ago, I finally got a UV light, so I have been dabbling with some gel nail polish. I don't have a ton of experience with it yet, but I am managing to get by :). the first thing I noticed with this polish was that it seemed slightly thicker than the gel polish I have been using. However, it applied with no issues. I have been having some issues growing out my nails on my right hand, so I am trying to wear only gel on that hand for the strength. In this picture, I used three thin coats of this polish.

This polish is a very pretty blue with a prominent purple shimmer to it. However, it is sheer, and I am not a huge fan of sheer polishes. I always use an undie with my sheers. Here is a macro shot:

Since I am not a huge fan of sheer polishes, I was on the hunt for a light blue similar to this polish to use as an undie. I wanted to enjoy the beauty in this polish. First, I started out with a coat of my peel off base coat. You can find my review on that polish here. Next, I used two coats of Sinful Colors Violets Are Blue. It was the closest thing I could find that seemed to match. Here is the swatch of that:

Next, I added a coat of my quick dry top coat. I waited several hours to make sure this was all completely dry, since I will now be layering gel over regular nail polish. Then, I painted 2 coats of the gel polish on, curing in between each layer. I added a gel top coat, and wiped the tacky layer off to finish. Here is how that turned out:

I absolutely love this look! That shimmer is so pretty. I just wish my camera could pick up how bright the purple actually is. Under certain lighting, my nails look completely purple, you can barely tell there is blue under there.

Overall, I would still recommend this polish. It is super pretty! Whether you like sheer polishes, have the patience to do a couple more coats than I did, or want to be creative with your layering, this polish could work for most people. It is one of my favorite gel polishes that I have. This polish comes in 12 different colors, so there is something for everyone! I am showing you number 12. You can find this polish on the BornPrettyStore website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store Chameleon Nail Polish Review

In this post, I will be reviewing some Chameleon Nail Polish from BornPrettyStore. From the pictures I saw, the shift in this nail polish was pretty extreme. I couldn't wait to see it for myself. Here is the bottle:
My camera had a hard time focusing because it is such an intense shift!

The first thing I did was put on a coat of my handy peel off base coat I got from BornPrettyStore. You can read my review on that here. On the website, it says that a black base coat is needed. I have always been one to bend the rules slightly. So that is exactly what I did here :D. For my base colors, I used black on my index and middle fingers, white on my ring finger, and no base color for my pinkie (just to see how it would turn out). Then I went to work with the magic polish. I used two coats over the black base color, and three coats over the white base color and the pinkie with no base color. Here is how it turned out.

You can definitely see the difference the black base color makes. But I almost like the lighter tone the white and the no base color gave it! I finished this mani off with a quick dry top coat.

Here is another shot, as I tried to capture the shifting colors:

This polish left me speechless. WOW!! I could not stop moving my hand and staring at my nails. I am completely in love with this polish. I can't wait to wear it again. I was going to stamp over it, but I couldn't bring myself to cover up the amazingness!

Overall, this polish is perfect! It applied smooth, has great color and coverage in 2 coats over a dark base color, and is a definite MUST HAVE! There are 5 different colors in this line. This one is number 221. You can find this chameleon polish on the BornPrettyStore website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-X15 Review

In this post, I will be reviewing stamping plate BP-X15 from BornPrettyStore. They recently came out with a new set of small, square stamping plates. Being the stamping addict that I am, I needed to check these out. Here is the one I got:

As with the other Born Pretty Store plates, these ones come with their own little cardboard-like sleeves to store them in.

The first thing I always do when I get my stamping plates is peel off the blue protective film.

The next thing I always do is some test stamps. This one is no exception. Here is how it stamps:

While swatching this plate, I used the XL Clear Silicone Marshmallow Jelly Stamper from BornPrettyStore. You can read my review on that stamper here.

As expected, this plate stamps perfectly. I couldn't wait to use it! I love the flower design. You could do several different mani's with this plate, and they would all look different. This image has several different parts. Here is what I did:

You can see just a couple minor imperfections in my stamping. It was my fault, not the plate. For the details on this manicure, and my review on BornPrettyStore's U-Shaped Spill Proof Nail Polish Stickers, click here.

Overall, this stamping plate is great. It is etched great, very pretty, and the image is large enough to do several different looking mani's! If you are into stamping, or would like to give it a try, this stamping plate is on my recommended list. You can find this stamping plate on BornPrettyStore's website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.

Born Pretty Store XL Clear Silicone Marshmallow Jelly Stamper Review

In this post, I will be reviewing the XL Clear Silicone Marshmallow Jelly Stamper from BornPrettyStore. As I have mentioned before, I love stamping. Which means I love stampers and comparing them, to find a favorite. Let's take a look at this stamper:

It also has a hard, plastic cap that covers the stamper head. Here is another picture:

It also comes with a Born Pretty Store credit card style scraper. I absolutely love these scrapers. They are about half the thickness of an actual credit card.

A few months ago, I did a review on the Crystal Clear Jelly stamper from BornPrettyStore. You can read that review here. I used that stamper to compare this one to. While that one is squishy and soft, this one is much squishier and larger. I absolutely love it. The handle is much shorter, but not too short that it is uncomfortable to hold. It is just perfect. Now, the only thing going through my head is "Please let this thing stamp for me!!!" I always like to test them right out of the package, just to see if they will stamp. Let's see how this one did:
Pretty impressive!

I did give it a good massage with some rubbing alcohol, hoping that would clear up the small areas that weren't quite as crisp as they should be. Here is my next stamp:
It did better. I think I waited a tiny bit too long, so I didn't get a couple of those fine lines. It picks up the image great!

Here are my swatches on paper:

After seeing how well this stamper was picking up, I was dying to put it to my nails. I stamped over the ombre mani I did when I reviewed BornPrettyStore's U-Shaped Spill Proof Nail Polish Stickers. You can read that review and get all the details on what I used and how I did this mani here. This is how it turned out:

For my swatches and mani, I used stamping plate BP-X15 from BornPrettyStore. You can read my review for that stamping plate here.

Overall, this is a great clear stamper, if you like squishy stampers. I absolutely love it, and it will be the new go-to clear stamper for me. It is so much bigger than the other clear stamper I have! I could easily stamp 2 nails at the same time (3 if I am very careful). Hmmm, that gives me ideas. I need to try that! You can find this stamper and scraper set on the BornPrettyStore website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Born Pretty Store U-Shape Spill Proof Nail Polish Stickers Review

In this post, I will be reviewing some U-Shape Spill Proof Nail Polish Stickers from BornPrettyStore. Being allergic to latex, I am always looking for new products I can use to help with the clean up and prevent such a mess around my nails while doing nail art. These stickers are JUST the thing I have been waiting for!!!
They come in five different colors (pink, purple, green, black, and blue). I chose blue.

These stickers are very thin, and appear to be made of vinyl. As you wrap them around each finger, the sticker can stretch without tearing, so you get a perfect fit on each finger. Just be sure the skin around your nails is very clean and dry for optimum results!

For this look, I started out with one coat of my trusty peel off base coat. You can read my review on that item here. Next, I painted one thin coat of Bonita Bond, Jail Bond as my base color. It is a very metallic silver polish. Then, using a latex free make-up sponge, I sponged on an ombre of two Fresh Paint colors:  Dream Catcher and Arrowhead. I did three layers of sponging, and after my third layer, I smoothed it out with a quick dry top coat. Here is what it looks like so far:

If you are a nail polish addict like myself, then you know how incredibly hard it is to clean up a metallic polish. I dread it! Let's see how these stickers did. In order to get them off, the easiest thing for me to do was to cut them where the two ends overlapped, under my nails. Like this:

Using my tweezers, I carefully peeled them off, making sure they did not stick to my polish as I went around my nail. And, here is all the clean up I am left with:

This is amazing! I definitely need MORE of these stickers! I think i would have had even less to clean up if I would have made sure my fingers were completely dry! I was just too excited to try these out.
The last thing I wanted to mention was that, being allergic to latex, sometimes even stickers make my fingers break out (they use a cold latex glue in some products). It has been a couple days, and I have not had any signs of a reaction at all.

Overall, I am extremely excited about these stickers. They have to be the best "tool" I have! I will continue to use these for those hard-to clean up mani's. Head on over and pick some of these up in your favorite color. They can be found on the BornPrettyStore website here. They also have tons of other great nail art supplies. Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off any regular priced items.
